Nádvorie čarovných nití 2024: Miesto, kde tradícia ožíva v remeslách
Vedeli ste, že prvú čipku objavili v Ríme?
Summer is ending slowly. The sounds of the accordion, the dulcimer, the violin, the throaty singing of men, the cries of girls and women, the stamping of boots, are all spread through the town. The streets are flooded with the scent of typical local meals, such as “podplamenník“ – salty bread similar to sheep cheese cakes with bacon; or “párance“ – potato noodles with sausage or curd. Artisans breathe life into the art of our ancestors, and visitors, young and old, flock from far and wide. This year, for the twenty-first time, “Trnava gates“ are going to be reopened from August 19 to 21, 2022.
The International Folklore Festival Trnavská brána is organized by: Trnava Town, Zaži v Trnave – City Cultural Centre in cooperation with Trnava´s Folk Guild, Folklore ensembles: Trnafčan, Trnavček and Drienka.
Embroidery and lace making showcase, a children's yard and, of course, a rich programme of folklorists from all over Slovakia- these and more good times await your visit!
Trnavská brána so sebou po tretí raz prinesie aj jednodňový „festival vo festivale“ – Nádvorie čarovných nití. V sobotu 17. augusta od 13:00 do 18:00 ožijú starodávnym umením dva dvory – Dvor tkania a pradenia a Dvor výšivky a čipky. Mimochodom, vedeli ste, že prvú čipku objavili v Ríme? Bola vyrobená z kovu, vďaka čomu môžeme zachovať a obdivovať jej krásu až dodnes.
Ak ste zručný pernikár, drotár, kováč, zapletač šibákov či košíkov a chcete svoje umenie ukázať širokej verejnosti, alebo poznáte niekoho, koho tvorbu jednoducho musíme vidieť, toto je výzva pre vás!
Besides music and dance performances, folk-craft markets and many accompanying activities, two exhibitions will also be prepared for visitors. One of them is Embroidered 500-year history of the Reformation in Slovakia.
