Dvadsiaty štvrtý ročník medzinárodného folklórneho festivalu Trnavská brána pomaly klope opätkami po mestských dlaždiciach. Tento rok sa oslava folklóru bude konať už 13. - 15. júna na Trojičnom námestí a Hlavnej ulici. Program vyvrcholí slávnostným vystúpením SĽUKu v mestskom amfiteátri.
Slovenský ľudový umelecký kolektív (SĽUK) oslavuje 75. výročie svojho založenia veľkolepým galaprogramom. S bohatým pásmom putuje po celom Slovensku, trnavskému publiku sa predstaví 15. júna v mestskom amfiteátri. Výnimočný koncert otvorí okno do histórie svojej umeleckej tvorby a zatvorí tohtoročnú Trnavskú bránu.

Saturday, August 17th, will celebrate traditional crafts! The third annual Courtyard of Magical Threads festival brings you two craft courtyards – the Embroidery and Lace Courtyard at Nádvorie – space of contemporary culture, and the Weaving and Spinning Courtyard at the Creative Center on Hlavná Street. Visitors can look forward to talented artisans, creative workshops, and engaging lectures, all immersing you in the world of folk art techniques. And there's even more to discover!
On Saturday, the Trnava folklore celebration continues, taking the audience on a journey to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moravia. Finally, embracing the spirit of "home sweet home," we'll conclude the evening with "Tradition in Trio," featuring the ensembles UFS Trnafčan, FS Ekonóm, and FS Považan.
Prepare for an unforgettable evening soirée filled with culture to delight and entertain! In two weeks, the Trnava amphitheater will be adorned in festive folklore attire, ready to welcome distinguished guests. Get ready to be swept off your feet by local ensembles Drienka, Trnavček, Trnafčan, the renowned Rozsutec from Terchová, Zemplín's iconic Iconito, Bratislava's "Ekonóm" – and finally, the pulse-quickening rhythms of our Balkan and Moravian guests, KUD Piskavica and Handrlák. From August 16th to 18th, Trnavská Brána Festival will drape the town in folklore. From dawn, the streets will transform into a runway of folk costumes, with the most splendid lacework and unforgettable moments awaiting you in the amphitheater come evening. We're opening the doors to Slovácky folklore, showcasing the rich traditional folk culture, customs, songs, dances, crafts, and traditions of the Slovácko region. Nestled in southeastern Moravia, this area holds a wealth of history and cultural heritage, evident in every facet of its folklore. Allow us to introduce the Folklore Ensemble of Songs and Dances, Handrlák.
